ACCU-CAST Yesterday
Accu-Cast was founded in 1972. After a few years of operation in Alton Park, Chattanooga,
the operation was moved to a multi story building on Chestnut Street. In
1979, Accu-Cast was purchased by Stockham Valves and Fittings Company of
Birmingham, Alabama and operated as a subsidiary of that company until
December, 1997.
In March of 1982, the Chestnut Street building was destroyed by a
devastating fire, and a new plant was built in its present location.
By concentrating on improving efficiency and product quality, Accu-Cast
has completed two major expansions at this plant site.
