There are numerous ways in which the idea for a metal casting may be expressed, but the most common means is to supply us with your drawings and specification requirements.
We use these drawings to design and build an aluminum die with internal cavities that will produce a wax duplicate of the component when the wax is injected into the die. We use these wax duplicates as an expendable pattern for producing your investment casting.
For small quantities or for prototype castings, we can also generate wax patterns from an STL or engineering CAD drawing. The wax patterns are attached to an assembly made from wax that allows for an engineered design of molten metal entry, that when poured produces a sound metal component.
